Firstly โ€“ theย Privateerย rum company can directly trace itโ€™s origins to the swashbuckling mercenaries of the American Revolution โ€“ the Privateers.ย The Privateer โ€˜True Spirit of 1776โ€™ is steeped in history being made by a direct descendant of the Privateer Andrew Cabot.ย The spirit is made from a distilled, 100% molasses wash, aged in a single virgin American Oak barrel with a #3 level char for 3 years. This distillation gives detailed aromas, a tight and linear structure, a pliant texture and a long finish. The rum was harvested in Autumn 2020 and the result,ย The True Spirit of 1776 was bottled at a cask strength at a cracking 109.8 proof (54.9% ABV).

  • The PRIZE will be drawn on Facebook on December 16, 2022
  • To enter, a member must refer another customer to the Rum Tribe using the Rum Tribe Referral System
  • BOTH the Referee and the Referrer get an entry in the Competition
  • The referred customer must purchase at least one Monthly Rum Release (either October 2022, November 2022 or December 2022)
  • PLUS the member and the referred customer still get $10 off your rum purchases so it is a win win!
  • Each valid referred customer is 1 entry and Members can have as multiple valid entries
